About

Daichi (David) Sato is the Head of AI Engineering at Source, leading the design and deployment of intelligent systems that drive automation at scale. His work focuses on transforming complex data into actionable intelligence — blending deep learning, natural language processing, and process automation to help enterprises operate smarter and faster.

Born and raised in Tokyo, Daichi brings a unique mix of Japanese precision and global experience to his leadership. Before joining Source, he served as Principal Machine Learning Engineer at a multinational technology firm, where he oversaw end-to-end AI initiatives across finance, logistics, and manufacturing. His leadership helped teams transition from experimental models to production-grade systems delivering measurable business outcomes.

At Source, Daichi heads a cross-disciplinary team of AI researchers, automation engineers, and data scientists focused on building adaptive, scalable systems. His guiding principle is clarity — ensuring every model not only performs but is explainable, maintainable, and aligned with real-world goals.

Daichi holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Tokyo and a postgraduate certificate in Artificial Intelligence Systems Engineering from Imperial College London.

Beyond his technical work, Daichi is passionate about mentoring young engineers, exploring Tokyo’s emerging AI art scene, and studying the intersection of human behavior and automation.
