Ryo Takeda
Lead Product Designer
About
Ryo Takeda is the Lead Product Designer at Source, where he shapes how automation looks, feels, and functions for enterprises around the world. His design philosophy combines simplicity, precision, and purpose — every interface he creates aims to make complex AI technology feel effortless and intuitive.
With over a decade of experience in digital product design, Ryo has worked across startups and enterprise environments, leading teams that built scalable, user-centered platforms. Before joining Source, he spent several years at a Tokyo-based tech firm specializing in workflow software, where he helped launch tools now used by thousands of businesses globally.
At Source, Ryo leads the end-to-end design process — from research and prototyping to final interface and experience. Collaborating closely with engineers and strategists, he ensures that design is not just aesthetic but functional, guiding teams through decisions that balance visual clarity with technical depth. His attention to detail and commitment to consistency have made Source’s design language a recognizable part of its brand identity.
Ryo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human–Computer Interaction from Keio University. His work has been featured in several international design showcases, and he’s known for bridging Japanese minimalism with modern UX methodologies.
Outside of work, Ryo is an avid photographer and sketch artist. He often says his best design ideas come while observing light and structure in everyday environments — a reminder that good design, like good automation, should feel invisible yet indispensable.
